Student Academic Progress

Using a culmination of effective techniques, the teacher’s methods of differentiation are tested by the products and grades of the students. With this performance standard in mind, student growth should be consistently monitored and evaluated to ensure that each and every student has acquired the necessary tools and skills for each academic school year.

Self-monitoring strategies allow the teacher to choose an intervention system for a certain type of behavior and in turn, this gives the student some form of self-awareness and reflection skills. When we allow the student to monitor and keep track of his or her own behavior, we promote independent, productive, and responsible behaviors for that student.

Providing rubrics, or clearly defined expectations, gives students the contextual support they need to target their goals. Student goals are measured, created, implemented, and monitored by the instructor in order to meet objectives and targets.
