The key to a highly-functioning classroom lies within student expectations. Proactively setting high expectations for student behaviors not only provides considerations to abide by, but also contributes a sense of consistency and routine into their lives. When establishing standards in the classroom, successful teachers know to keep the standards high. To transform these standards into reality, it takes time, patience, dedication, and practice.
