Hello, I’m Kara!
Welcome to my e-Portfolio!
Teaching Goals
- To create a welcoming, safe classroom environment that hums with energy.
- To promote creativity and creative learning.
- To ensure my students undoubtedly know how much I care about them.
My Interests
I’m an aspiring elementary school teacher who fell in love with the innocent, curios, and playful minds of children a long, long time ago. I received my bachelor’s degree at Roanoke College, with a minor in Spanish and a major in Psychology. I am a current grad-school student at Hollins University, where I am wrapping up my involvement in the MAT program. By May I will graduate from Hollins University with a Masters of Art of Teaching with a PreK-6 endorsement. Aside from my passion to teach, I love good books, gut laughs, and hot coffee.
